Figured Blackwood vase
FIGURED BLACKWOOD VASE – Crafted from blackwood found near Hanging Rock Victoria. The wood was cut from the fork of a fallen tree and the grain is highly figured of chocolate brown colour. The vase is 250 mm high and 70 mm in diameter. It was sanded to 1000 grit and finished with four coats of danish oil. It won the best acacia intermediate section at the 2018 Australian Woodturning Exhibition.
